Membership

NHMLA is a member organization, incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under NH Law. Membership eligibility is open to a member of the NH Bar who: (1) is employed as Legal Counsel or in a Legal Department of a local governmental entity (city, town, school organization, village district, etc.) or (2) is in private practice, regularly represents one or more local government entities and whose law practice is consistent with the interests of local government and the goals and mission of NHMLA, as determined by NHMLA.

The membership year runs from October 1 to September 30 of each year. Dues are currently set at $25 per year. Attendance at a single CLE program at NHMLA member discounted rates generally will more than offset annual dues. Please see CLE page by clicking on the button at the left.

NHMLA has an annual membership meeting, usually scheduled in September or October, primarily for the election of Officers and Directors who manage the affairs of the organization.

NHMLA business affairs are administered on a contractual basis by its Executive Director/General Counsel.

For more information or to obtain an application for membership, please contract NHMLA Executive Director/General Counsel or use the contact form.
